Maranatha and Booloomba

On Tuesday Rina brought me back to Maranatha camp. There I finally had time to do some washing and cleaning.

On Wednesday I made a nice walk in the morning to the water dam near by. It was flooding a few weeks ago after the rain but now it was very calm again.

It is Wednesday so the only day where Matt comes to work.
All the kids did highrobes so I thought I do the course and have a catch up high in the trees.
Between a little bit of work while children came to the plattform Matt found his artisitc streak and decorated my hair and helmet with bark.
On the abseiling tower I met Jamiroquai, our new Koala friend in climbing gear.
On Thursday morning I went to Peregian Beach with Matt and later Brook picked me up and brought me to my new place near Booloomba Creek.

Here I started on Friday with my new job as a horse girl. Nice and early we started the day so that we could see the sunrise over the field.
After feeding and cleaning Lizzy and me went for a ride through the forests and got just a little bit lost.
She was riding Excalibur while I was on the back of Ash again.
With the other girls Amanda and Emelie we all went to the shops after work for some dinner.

On Saturday I went with Amanda to Nambour where I got some more things for work and she some books.

In the afternoon Nathan picked me up and we did a walk up Mount Pomona with our best outdoor thongs. The walk was listed for 2 hours and we needed about 1 hour but apparently there is a race every year from the pub up the hill and down in just 24 minutes. I'm still convinced that they must cheat.
And maybe we also needed longer to enjoy the view over the Sunshine Coast with the ocean on the horizon.

The best thing about the walk was definetly the beer in the pub afterwards.
Even with a nearly heart shaped foam bit...

The sunset in the backyard of Nathans place in Buddina was just stunning and isn't photoshopped at all.
We had an healthy dinner at our favourite american restaurant and finally
watched some movies.

On Sunday morning I went for a swim with the 2 british girls Amanda and Steph in this beautiful creek.
It is just a 5 minutes walk from our house which is actually in the beautiful middle of nowhere.
At first the water was freezing cold but it felt just amazing.

Easter Weekend with Rina

Good Friday is actually a very weird name for this day I recon but thats just my opinion. Jesus died for our sins so thats why we call it 'good' allright.

The morning we cleaned the inside of the car and had a nice coffee with Rina's neighbour Rita.
After lunch we went for a little walk in the Little Yabba Park and a feet dip in the water of the beautiful creek and Rita's children Went for a swim.
On Saturday Rina had to work so she dropped me off in Caloundra after a coffee at the beach with Amanda.
Amanda's new appartment has this awesome ocean view. Our delicious lunch is unfortunately a little dark but the decision was between food and view...
In the afternoon we went on a nice walk along the rocks to Kings Beach where we went for a swim and sunbaking.
Later on Nathan came to pick me up andmade me fishing. I really have to admit it's nothing for me but Nathan tried it.
At least I had time to admire the sunset.

Sunday was already Easter and I had a perfect day with Rina.
In our family it started to be tradition to have a salmon Pastry so I couldn't miss out this year.
And maybe it's a tradition all over the world in a few years.
But for our little brunch we had love heart brownies and salad and other nice treats.
And for a good Easter a good hunt can't be missing. Rina hadn't done one for over 15 years and she said she loved it so much that she will do it every year now.
And I even got a Lindt rabbit from her brother so that I felt like home.
The whole afternoon I did some gardening and wood collection. From all that work I felt like a swim so we went in the dam behind her Mum's house just 20 metres away.
With my beautiful Easter fire and no car driving we had an awesome Sunday.

On Monday morning Nathan picked me up because he spent Easter with his family in the Mountains.
With his open Cabriolet we really felt the degree gap (10ºC) when we came from the mountains to the coast.
In Noosa I finally met my dear friend Lisa that I know from the camps in Selker Noor. She was travelling in New Zealand for 7 month. We were in Nelson at the same time but just missed us so it was very nice to spend some time at the beach.

After lunch we met Matt how took us up Tinbeerwah for this view.

Coolum Beach with Matt

After the live music on Sunday in the factory Matt drove us to his familys' house in Coolum. Rina was invited for the dinner as well and so we had a delicious lamb curry his mum Carolyne made.
Matt just bought him a nice coffee machine so that I got the luxury of 3 coffees a day. At the end of the week we used over 500g of coffee beans.
Monday morning we just relaxed with our coffees and then Matt had to go to Uni. It was good for me so that I finally found some time to write my blog and now I'm late again with this one...
After the cyclone from the weekend further north It was still windy and cloudy.
In the afternoon when Matt came back from Uni he took me to the Bay 3 thats just 5 minutes from his place. Along the rocks we went to Yaroomba Beach and had to be careful to not be blown of. But with the foam and everything flying around us it was just so cool.

Tuesday I enjoyed the morning at the main beach from Coolum and went for a swim.
When I came back to the house it was perfect timing because Carolyne's brother was over with his family and they just had fish&chips. It was her brother's birthday so we even had cake.
Because Matt is probably the most serious student I know he was studying while I wasn't allowed to distract him. As if I would do anything distracting so I just breaded his hair, doesn't it look beautiful?
¨Smile to the camera, ok now u can keep studying¨ And somehow he looks even italian with this hairstyle.
For dinner we went to Mooloolaba and had nice Fish&Chips at the beach. Later we went to the cinema and watched Divergent (die Bestimmung).

Have I told you about my princess suite?I definetly got the best room in the house it's upstairs facing the Ocean so that this beautiful sunrise woke me up on Wednesday.
Matt brought the coffee up to the balcony so that we could enjoy it even better.
My friend Amanda works at the Sunshine Coast University and I thought I could pay her a surprise visit. Matt just had half a day of Uni and while he did an oral presentation I met Amanda and we had a coffee.
But  I wanted to see if Uni is any different in Australia so I went with Matt to his politics lecture. Topic was major and minor parties. At one point the teacher wanted to know which parties in the government want to have major and  which minor changes. She wanted everyone to write down what they think of the Liberal party but unfortunately for me I didn't have a paper. So the teacher asked one of the class for the answer and Matt said it was the first time she ever done that. And off course she picked me and I answered the question correctly without showing that I don't even belong to the class.

Mount Coolum Cave is one of the favourite areas for climbers at the Sunshine Coast. After Uni we went there to meet Matt's friend Robby who is a very good climber from Scotland who came over for climbing holidays.
We just watched him climbing while Matt said where to put feet and hands to help him on the first go. I admired the structure of the rock and the view with the ocean off course.
With a nice afternoon beer Matt took me to Point Perry with another nice Lookout.
Since a few days we were talking about frozen yoghurt so we got to the point where we walked to Coolum after dinner to get it. Unluckily it was closed and we had to get a McDonalds ice cream instead that we enjoyed at the beach while we interpreted rabbits in the clouds. His father came to pick us up so that we had to stop playing on the playground with the seesaw.
Thursday we relaxed the whole morning on the balcony and then went to the movies to watch The Amazing Spidermen 2. After the movie I went to Rinas place for the weekend.

Holidays from Holidays

After another week of working in Maranatha we have 2 weeks of school holidays.

The first week I stayed with Rina at her fairy cabin. She works with me in Maranatha and is my perfect opposite with me tall and blond and her short and brown hair <3
Her cabin is a little bit in the middle of nowhere in the Hinterland of the Sunshine Coast.
The weekend we chilled out at the creek and river you can see in the first picture.
On Monday morning we had the first fun activity and went horse riding for the whole morning. Our horses were awesome mine was Ash and Rina's was Opal.
Tuesday was a full on day because we went to a Yoga class in Maroochydore in the morning which is an hour drive from Conondale where she lives.
Because her waterpump isn't set up yet we couldn't have a shower so we went for a swim in Mooloolaba.

We thought we would relax in the afternoon but Matt another friend from work took us climbing in Tinbeerwah near Eumandi.
He himself just secured us while we were climbing so he had earned himself a piece of brownie.
It's always an amazing feeling to make itto the top and enjoy the view over the area.
And abseiling down afterwards can be quite funny as well.
I had the climbing shoes on that John gave to me last year and they helped me a lot.
While Rina and I just occasionally rock climb, Matt does climbing since he was 14 and climbed all the mountains in the region.
After all the exercise on Tuesday we relaxed on Wednesday and went to the other house for some washing.

Thursday became the big shopping day in the Sunshine Plaza.
Later we met some friends of Rina for dinner with a stunning walk at the beach before it.
The colour of the sky changed every minute and the birds were flying passed at the right time.
Friday was another Yoga class on where we went to with the best Yoga teacher.
After a little bit of more shopping we couldn't resist to buy these perfect jumpers together. I mean it has polka dotts and is blue - it always belonged to me :).
The midday we enjoyed at the beach with beautiful sunshine and a catch up with a friend.
How to start a perfect Saturday morning?
Right you put on the red shorts which matches the red jug and the red frying pan and the whole kitchen concept, don't forget the sunnies and off you go with some delicious pancakes.

After that good treat and some early morning cleaning we dressed up for the 1920s party at a friends place.
The dress I got the other day at a op shop for $6 and the shoes for $4.
And that the world can be very small was  a nice catch up with the band the go set from Melbourne that we met last summer in Germany.
The singer Justin contacted me a few month ago and told me about their gig in Brisbane and set me on the guestlist.

We were lucky because we had to drive there after the dress up party so we couldn't be there before 10, an they started playin at 11.
The concert was great and a lot of dancing so it was lovely to hang out with the guys a little bit longer.

Last Sunday we wanted to go to the Peregian Originials but it wasn't on that weekend so we just had a coffee with Matt and his girlfriend. This Sunday we knew it was on but it had been cancelled because of a cyclone up north.
The plan B was the factory with some live music were we came together with Nathan and his girlfriend Kristen.
The factory is a quite new place in the plaza with the coolest bartender outfits ever. They have a rock sophisticated style and everyday something different.
Good Sunday afternoon with Matt and Rina and Nathan and Kristen on the opposite site.
